פָּגַש

פָּגַש(b. h.; cmp. פָּגַע) to strike against, meet, v. infra. Nif. נִפְגַּש to meet; to wrestle, fight. Deut. R. s. 11 נִפְגַּשִׁתִּי עם המלאךוכ׳ I wrestled with the angel and defeated him; אתה נִפְגַּשְׁתָּוכ׳ thou didst meet the angel in thy territory; Yalk. ib. 951 פָּגַשְׁתִּי, פָּגַּשְׁתָּ.
